Regional Director - West

Seeking an experienced (must have prior experience with the management/supervision of a sales staff in the medical arena) sales director with (3) years or more years experience in regional sales management and (5) years experience in either direct sales or business development in a healthcare environment (i.e. laboratory, hospital, pharmaceutical or medical device experience). Must be experienced in Excel, Outlook, Word, and competent in IT connectivity (laptop/blackberry/internet savvy). Must have entrepreneurial knowledge and desire to “run your own business”. Reports to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing and is responsible for consistently meeting performance standards and executing sales plans for new business and growing existing accounts in the 11-state western region. Ideally the director would live in CA. Expected travel is 3-4 days per week.

Lead Territory Managers within the region to ensure successful implementation of Growth & Sales Plans.

  • Responsible for the recruitment, selection, retention, and motivation of the Territory Managers in region.
  • Develops and manages relationships with key clients, physicians, laboratories within the region who are recognized as key thought leaders within the Cardiology Discipline.
  • Implements training programs that ensure that all Territory Managers are proficient and knowledgeable regarding test offerings.
  • Serve as a consultant to the Vice President of Sales on key growth strategies and Sales management issues.
  • Manage budget, quota forecast and all other applicable sales forecasts associated in the region.

You must have: a bachelor’s or equivalent work experience, minimum 3 years sales experience in lab background (pharma-cardiology or cardiology device background is acceptable), territory management experience in multi-state territory, a stable and proven sales work history, and past awards and recognition for your successful sales career. Must be experienced in Excel, Outlook, Word, and competent in IT connectivity (laptop/blackberry/internet savvy). Must have entrepreneurial knowledge and desire to “run your own business”.
