Atherotech Diagnostics Lab is seeking full-time Medical Lab Technologists to perform accurate testing of samples in a timely matter in our Homewood based lab. Opportunities are available for evening shifts, normally scheduled Tuesday through Saturday. The MLT position requires diligent quality control to maintain the accuracy of all testing, continuous work flow at a rapid pace, ensuring all patient testing is completed in a timely matter, and assisting in the receiving of specimens as needed. Must be able to walk/stand for long periods of time (up to six hours). Must be able to lift/carry a minimum of 25 pounds. Must be able to handle/carry lab samples without disruption. A minimum of six months lab experience or clinical lab rotation is required, with primary consideration given to candidates who are ASCP certified or ASCP eligible. Will also consider applicants with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or other coursework that satisfies CLIA regulations.
