Are You At Risk?

Think you don’t have to worry about heart disease if you’ve had “normal” results from a routine cholesterol test? Not so fast. The truth is, almost half of all patients who have heart attacks have “normal” cholesterol, as measured by the routine cholesterol test.

You may be at risk for heart disease if you have:

    Triglycerides greater than 150
    HDL lower than 40
    LDL greater than 130
    Total Cholesterol greater than 200
A family history of heart disease or cardiac events
Diabetes or family history of diabetes
    High blood pressure
    Thyroid problems
    Obstructive liver disease
    Kidney failure
    Abdominal obesity

If you have one or more risk factors above, you should ask your doctor or healthcare provider for The VAP Test to more accurately manage your risks of heart disease.
